How the calculation works

You first fill in your profile: company size and the number of users involved in the purchasing process. You then enter your annual volumes: number of purchase orders, goods receipts, supplier requests for quotation, contracts and invoices processed each year.

For each step, the tool asks for the average time currently spent per task, such as entering an order, matching an invoice or following up with a supplier. These times are multiplied by your volumes and an average hourly cost to estimate what your manual processes cost today.

The calculator then compares this cost with a digitised process using procurement software. You get the annual software cost based on your number of users, the hours saved each year, the resulting savings and your return on investment (ROI), with a downloadable PDF report.
